Dr. Kent Greer - Hospital Director & Founder
Dr. Kent Greer graduated from University of Missouri in 1980, having followed in his father’s footsteps who was a graduate of 1951. He had spent his whole life working around animals, both large and small, and always wanted to build a state-of-the-art hospital where diagnostics and wellness medicine would form the central basis of care.
He is the Senior doctor overseeing all facilities, and has over 30 years of surgical experience including orthopedics and soft tissue and internal surgery. He is a certified Veterinary Chiropractitioner and has a profound interest in alternative medicine as a means to support conventional care. As such, he is one of the leaders of alternative therapies in Central Florida. He can imagine no better job then as a veterinarian, and now enjoys mentoring younger graduates . His “other” job is maintaining the family farm, where he and his wife Annie are concentrating on an organic self-sustaining lifestyle.
Dr. Valerie Beckhardt
Dr. Valerie Beckhardt holds both business degrees and a veterinary degree, In her previous life she worked as a business analyst until she decided to follow a lifetime dream to become a veterinarian. She graduated from Ross University and graduated in 2011, followed by a clinical year with University of Florida. SHe enjoys internal medicine and has an interest in surgery and alternative therapies, especially rehab.
Her hobbies are swimming and yoga
Dr. Lori Nichols
Dr. Lori Nichols earned her undergraduate degree in engineering at the University of Southern Mississippi, and briefly worked on a Masters degree in construction management. Five years later it was time for her follow her heart and dreams and go to Veterinary School at Mississippi Ste University. Dr Nichols special interest in cats and she plans to certify in Feline Medicine. She collects...well....cats, tacky cat art, has a doggy friend but fosters many adults cats and kittens. And she is also awesome at creating seasonal home decor.
Dr. Edward Garcia
Dr. Edward Garcia-Rios was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science with a major in Biology and attended St. George’s University, School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Garcia-Rios has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, Orthopedics , Internal Medicine and Alternative Medicine. He is also very experienced around the world helping low resources communities with high spay & neuter programs in Dominican Republic and Nicaragua,with WorldVets and exotics & wildlife medicine in South Africa.
He shares his home with Luna Mia, a Miniature Schnauzer, Donatella a Tortoise and his other partner Cristina Tatis-Rios. His hobbies include traveling, family time, Scuba Diving, Hiking, Backpacking, Camping and other outdoor activities.
